Teen Adventure Camp
Hoedown is
Back and Better than Ever!
You'll
love the full blast games, crazy evening activities, high challenge
ropes course, climbing tower, dynamic evening firesides, tubing
on the lake and more! With
many of the same elements of our Adventure Camp Program, Teen
Camp takes the energy level up a few notches with a full schedule
tailored just for you. Also included in the week are marksmanship,
mountain biking, horseback riding, canoeing, skits and so much
more. You'll love your counselors too. Teen camp is more than
just fun activities. It is an opportunity to make new friends
and get to know God in a new and fresh way. This is a summer
event you don't want to miss! Besides, when you get home you'll
be able to one-up all your friends with a page full of FaceBook
stories that will far out weigh theirs!
Electives:
Mountain Biking, Rock Wall, High Ropes Course, Mountain Boarding,
Archery, Riflery, Arts & Crafts, Drama, Music Sign Language
and Mime, Canoeing, Tubing on the Lake, Float Tubing on the River,

Saddle up pardner"
camp is just around the bend. If you're a camper who loves horses,
this is the camp for you. In our Horselover camp you'll start
each day the way any horse enthusiast would want; taking trail
r ides
every morning among some of the areas best scenery. On top of
that you will receive some in the saddle riding skills instruction
in the riding ring. Add to that some cowboy skills instruction
and you are on you've got one horse crazy morning schedule! Your
afternoons will be filled with swimming, electives, camp store
at the Eagle's Nest and so much more. You'll even have the chance
to spend a night or two at our Outpost camping area where you
will wake up to the smell of breakfast being cooked Dutch oven
style just like the old western frontier. You'll love everything
from the water rodeo and the moon lit hoedown, to nights around
the campfire. So kick up your heels and come enjoy some big western
fun at Pleasant Hill Outdoor Center.

Whitewater Adventure

Includes Caving and Rappelling too!
Need more adventure?
Join us for a whitewater excursion to the Lower Yough River in
Ohio Pyle PA. We'll depart camp hours after you arrive and pitch
our tents in Ohio Pyle State Park at our d estination.
The next day you'll experience the thrill of class 3 rapids as
you tackle Cucumber Rapids, schoolhouse rock, and Bruner Run.
At mid-day we'll stop for a deli style lunch before taking back
to the river. After you've conquered the rapids we'll head back
to our camp site for a well deserved BBQ dinner (under a huge
tent) and a good night's rest. Your trip is not over! In the
next two days you'll experience caving in the famous Laurel Caverns
and go rappelling off the cliffs overlooking slippery rock creek.
You'll be amazed at the confidenece you gain from this action
packed adventure. Conquer it today!
T.I.L.T (Teens in Leadership Training)
Take the
next step!
Experience the other side of camp and join the team. As at TILT
camper, you'll lend support to the camp program as you jump in
behind the scenes, helping with props, skits and adventure games.
You'll get a first hand look at how camp operates and have the
opportunity to impact the quality of your camp thru your service.
TILT Team Leaders (counselors) will be with you along the way. You'll also
participate in Bible Studies designed just for you as you learn
a Biblical view on the importance of Leadership by Example. Applications
for the TILT program should be submitted to the camp office and
should contain a 1 page essay on why you would like to participate
along with your full contact information and any previous camper
experiences and where. Applications will be evaluated in part
on clarity of communication and thoroughness.There is only one
sesson of TILT so register soon! Applications for the T.I.L.T.
program should be submitted to Ben Radley and should contain:
-1 page essay on why you would
like to participate in T.I.L.T
-Your full contact information
including e-mail
-Any previous camper experiences
and where
-Two written references from
anyone other than family that knows you well.
Applications will be evaluated
in part on clarity of communication and thoroughness. Incomplete
applications will not be reviewed. Applicants will be contacted
by phone or mail within 10 days of receipt of application. This
program is open to teens ages 14-16.
