Fun and Safe 2008 Summer Camps
We are a Summer Camp
with Purpose in the Beautiful Hills of the Mohican Valley.
The right camp should
be one of the most fun filled and growing experiences of a child's
life. At Pleasant Hill you'll find a camp home
where you not only have a blast but you can learn new things,
meet new friends, and discover the spirit of adventure, inside
of you. You'll find afternoon activity elective choices for almost
every interest, like mountain boarding, crafts, performing arts,
canoeing, climbing wall, tubing on the lake or river, hiking
and so much more!
The evenings are filled with crazy games and an exciting fireside.
Our evening fireside is the best time of the day! It is during
this all camp gathering that you'll get to perform your skits
and mimes for all of your friends
(if you've selected performing arts as an elective). Also you'll
get to know God in a new and fresh way, and learn that He loves
you for who you are without condition or limitation! We'll show
you some fresh new ways to look at who you really are and we
think you'll like what you see.
At Pleasant you'll find a warm feeling that comes from our special
brand of camping, a place where you can shine from the inside
out!
Read what
one mom Said about her son's experience! "Thank
you so much for giving my son a wonderful camp experience! This
was Josh's first resident camp. I was looking for a positive
and nurturing setting with kids his own age and I definitely
found it in Pleasant Hill. He will definitely be back next year.
Thanks again."
-Camper's Mother
A Committed Staff "It
is obvious how well you've trained your summer staff. They are
courteous, helpful and service oriented. My daughter just loved
her counselor." -Camper Parent
What makes our camp so special? Our staff is a key ingredient.
Here, you'll find that our staff cares about YOU. They are there
for you to
listen and share. You are celebrated for your new achievements
and your counselors are there to encourage you along the way.
In short, our counselors and all of our staff at camp want to
focus their attention on making your week as special as it can
be.
We hire our staff from colleges and universities based on their
experience, Christian maturity and desire to work with youth.
Many are career bound teachers or youth pastors, all have a sincere
desire to help you find a place to shine!
A Place with Impact
We are located in "Mohican Country" in the midst of
one of the most scenic areas in Ohio. Our property shares a boarder
with the Mohican State forest and is situated on the shores of
beautiful Pleasant Hill Lake.
Being at camp at Pleasant Hill is not just about being away from
the routines of home life, it is also about being in the presence
of God's creation, something you'll see in the beutiful natural
setting at camp.
"Mohican Country" is home to the third largest concentration
of canoe liveries in the United States and hosts some of the
best family oriented camping fun in the state.
