Summer Camps Overview (2010)
Adventure Camps, Horse Camps, Water Sports Camps, Family Camps & Teen Camps in a Traditional Summer Camp Environment.

Our Something Different is Something Special. Let's face it. You can choose from a lot of different camps. So what makes Pleasant Hill so special? Its because our camp is more than canoes and campfires. Our summer camp is also about a really cool atmosphere. Don't worry, Pleasant Hill has all the toys. We're even installing a NEW Zip Line this year for you to enjoy and our slip-n-slide will be an even bigger hit with the improvements we are making. What makes Pleasant Hill so special is that your week at camp isn't just about fun games and great camp activities. From day one, your cabin counselors will help to encourage a really cool cabin atmosphere. Pleasant Hill is a camp where new friendships, great fun and new skills are developed all in the environment of a Christian camp. Here you'll find a place where you can challenge yourself to new experiences and discover a new confidence or just stick with the tried and true. Either way, you'll find a warm feeling that comes from our special brand of Christian camping...a place where you can shine from the inside out.

You can choose from a lot of camps but we don't think you'll find any that are more committed to providing you with a top shelf traditional summer camp experience in an atmosphere that is as encouraging and uplifting as Pleasant Hill. That is our promise.

Why choose Summer Camp at Pleasant Hill?
The answer is easy. Our summer camp program provides not only a top shelf recreational experience, but a safe and growing social experience too. You won't have to worry about the role models your kids see in our counselors and staff. They are here to set a positive example and they work to encourage a socially safe camp environment where EVERY camper is accepted, encouraged and free to grow.

But we are more than a place where campers find positive role models. We strive to live life in concert with Christ. As a Christian camp, we'll encourage each camper thru skits, firesides and the way we live everyday camp life to see themselves as God does; valuable and loved. They'll learn that God loves them without condition or limitation. Its never pushy, it is just a part of every day camp life.

Read what these parents said:
"I just wanted to tell you how much our daughter enjoyed herself this summer at your camp. This was her, our, first experience and it couldn't have been better! She loved her counselors and the entire experience. When she first approached us about a summer camp, I was hesitant and overwhelmed. I searched for camps and yours stood out. You answered my questions and your staff helped me with payments; all of which was appreciated. When we arrived to drop her off, the check in procedure was helpful and easy. Everyone made us feel welcome. While she was there, we were able to catch up via the pictures your staff took which made us feel connected. When we picked her up she couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had. Thanks so much!"

Dear (Camp Director),
"Our ten year old son, (Ben), just returned from a week at Pleasant Hill. To better understand the situation, I need to give you a little background. (Ben), our only child, was adopted from Russia at the age of 11 months. And up until last Sunday, he had never spent a night away from us. We are a little protective to say the least. We advised Chris, his counselor, to expect a few challenges and to call us if necessary. According to our son, Chris helped him through some very rough times. Because of his patience and kindness, (Ben) now has a new level of confidence and pride in his abilities. I am so impressed with the time Chris took to calm and reassure a very homesick child, helping him to overcome his fears and make it through the week. Many would have opted for the easy way out, leaving a child with a sense of failure that they would carry with them for a long time. We are so grateful to Chris for what he has given our son and would appreciate if you could pass that on to him."

PS: We loved the daily pictures on the website and the email option...great ideas!!

"My son attended your camp last summer, it was his first time away from home, so I was a little nervous. He had an absolute blast! He can't wait to see you all this summer! Thanks for a great camping experience!"

"Thank you so much for giving my son a wonderful camp experience! This was Josh's first resident camp. I was looking for a positive and nurturing setting with kids his own age and I definitely found it in Pleasant Hill. He will definitely be back next year. Thanks again."
-Camper's Mother

""...It was nice to see that she (my daughter) wrote in her journal about the love of Jesus and her expression of Christian values. it helped me realize that this was not only a camp for growing and independence and character building, but I feel that she got an opportunity to grow as a Christian, too."

"Its all my kids talked about for a month!"

"It is obvious how well you've trained your summer staff. They are courteous, helpful and service oriented. My daughter just loved her counselor."
