Kinder Camp
Hey parents, grab some quality time with yFather and Daughter enjoy quality time together at Kinder Campour young camper. Youngsters PS-KG experience 24 hours of summer fun with their parent or grandparent. They'll enjoy Adventure Camp activities such as archery, canoeing, crafts, campfires and much more. Parents accompany their children. Camp S'more fun at Pleasant Hill Outdoor Center!

Read what one mom said about Kinder Camp when reccomending it to some friends!

"Kinder Camp is a one night camping experience for you and your preschool/kindergarten age child. It runs from Friday evening to Saturday late afternoon...The camp staff (college students) run all of the programs/activities and they are very enthusiastic....as parents, we are along to supervise and interact with our children. This aspect of "camping" has been great for me (because let's face it....I just don't see myself taking a flopping fish off of a hook) but my kids get exposure to so many different kinds of activities that I might not engage them in on my own.

Last year the activities included campfire ring (complete with a sing along and skits), s'mores, arts and crafts, field games, nature scavenger hunts, swimming/canoeing (or playing in the sand), fishing, archery (yes, Emma even did this the summer before she started preschool), and even a rock climbing wall (with safety harnesses, of course).

I've been reading "Last Child in the Woods" which is a book that explores that "nature-deficit" that many of our children currently experience. The author highlights all of the aspects of nature that are so positive for young children. For my family, Kinder Camp is a great way to give my children these opportunities to reap the benefits of spending time in natural surroundings!

I've taken Emma every year since the summer before she started preschool and it has always been fun! I willingly self-describe myself as "not really a camper", but I can attest that this was a great experience for all! This year Steve and I attending as we are taking both Emma and Hannah! If you are available, I encourage you to come too!"
