EMPLOYMENT
JOIN THE TEAM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Thank you for considering Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp for summer employment. We are located in the heart of Mohican Country in Northeast Ohio. While towering hardwoods, scenic Mohican hills, natural streams and ponds define our property landscape. A busy program schedule, facilitated by a quality staff dedicated to pointing campers towards God through an amazing experience in his creation define each of our summer camp programs.
We offer a variety of camps that include activities such as horseback riding, archery, marksmanship, crafts, canoeing, climbing tower, and so much more. Programs and activities however, will only rise to the level of the staff that facilitate them. Our goal at Pleasant Hill is to strive for excellence in everything we do. Amazing programs and activities then are the perfect platform for creating amazing relationships. First a relationship with God, then campers renewing old friendships and making new ones, and finally the mentoring relationships between campers and counselors. These relationships are what change lives at camp, and they are what we are all about. Therefore we are searching for a spiritually and emotionally mature college age staff that are excited to help make our programs the best they can be.
As you weigh your options for this summer we ask you to consider that each potential staff member will be evaluated based on some key criteria. Here are a couple of the most important:
- Commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and willingness to mature and grow as a Christian
- Commitment to lovingly mentoring and disciplining campers
- Commitment to helping campers build positive relationships.
- Good self-concept reflected in appearance, behavior and relationships with others.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible
- Ability to work well with others
